WINTER 2025–26 · GSN CAMPAIGN ARCHIVE

Last winter.

Last winter, your support became practical help that families could use according to their own needs.

Families supported

Reported in GSN’s year-end 2025 donor update.

PRACTICAL SUPPORT · FAMILY CHOICE

Each family knew what mattered most.

The campaign provided monetary assistance. Families used the funds for winter clothes, blankets, tarps to seal their tents and, in some cases, replacement tents. These were not identical packages: support followed each household’s circumstances.

Warmer clothes.

Winter clothing chosen for the people who needed it.

Blankets for cold nights.

Families purchased blankets as part of their winter needs.

Keeping rain outside.

Tarps helped families seal and protect their tents.

A replacement shelter.

In some cases, families used the assistance to buy new tents.

AL ANWAR · DECEMBER 2025

The water kept coming.

December’s archive records floodwater around the tents at Al Anwar. It is part of the context behind the continuing requests for winter support.

Support continued as the storms arrived.

The archive records appeals during November’s rain, documentation of the December floods and a further urgent appeal in January 2026. The year-end update also describes GSN beginning support for the Al Anwar community. That wider relationship is part of the story, but it is not presented here as spending from the winter campaign.

  1. November 2025

An early donor message reported winter assistance for about eight families. The campaign continued as further needs emerged.

  2. Year-end 2025

The donor update reported monetary assistance to more than 50 families, alongside photographs families had shared for donor updates.

  3. January 2026

A renewed urgent appeal described storm damage and continuing requests for help.

The record behind this page.

This account draws on GSN’s archived campaign messages and year-end donor update. The archive does not provide a final audited campaign total or complete item counts, so we do not invent them. Early and year-end family counts are progress snapshots and must not be added together.

The same care. Another winter.

This year’s campaign builds on that experience, with practical support for dry bedding, stronger shelters, drainage and warmth.
